I was changing my brakepads today and could not compress teh rear calipers. I even took them off and put them into a vice. Anyway, i went to oreilys and found that they were bboth completely seizerd up so i had to trade them in for brand new ones.

The rear calipers screw back in, where you got the brake pads should rent you the tool for free - $5.

are you sure? They might be like my mazda, and you must remove a bolt in the back, and back out this screw, which in turn backs out the piston. or the piston itself might screw in. However, back pistons generally dont push in anymore, but im not familar with the newer stangs yet.

What have we learned from this: Always do your homework before starting jobs. It could keep you from buying parts you don't need.
