The 98 has a NPI engine, not the PI engine as well. It responds terribly (instead of poorly lol) to boltons and requires either FI or engine work to make it decently fast.

For 9500 bucks get a 99-04 GT. Lots faster stock and much better response to boltons.

Youre actually falling for the line "my friend will give me 10000 for it! Thats the oldest line in the book, dont let the old guy push you around, tell him a price and say take it or leave it, youd be surprized on how much hed probably let it go for.

Your '93 Z28 is an IROC-Z? Probably faster than a '98 GT. I think the IROC-Z 5.7's came with 255hp and loads of torque. Still, the Mustang is a better built car, and has arguablely better handling. Welcome to the Stang world!
www.ls1tech.com Obviously from a Mustang website your going to get false information about any F-body and a bias opinion. Buy an LS1 so you don’t waste your time with a 99+ GT. My 04' Roush was not even comparable....
Okay first off I admit I made a mistake. '93 was the first year of the redesigned Z28 that had the 275hp LT1 engine. I was thinking of the PREVIOUS generation Camaros before '93., which were known for squeeks, rattles, and poor structural integrity. The new, redesigned Camaro of '93 addressed many of these issues., and the LT1 was a solid pushrod V8 motor. If we are comparing the '93-02 bodystyle to a New Edge (99-04) I would say they are about equal as far as build quality, but I would have to say the New Edge looks better, but again that is subjective. The LT1 is about on par with the PI 4.6 modular V8, and comparing on the track stock for stock probably would be a drivers race. The 4L60E was a good auto tranny, and is better than the auto tranny in the comparable Ford Mustang GT auto.

Again I apologize for the misinformation, and I perhaps replied in haste not realizing that in '93 they redesigned the Camaro, not '94 like I thought before (brain fart, sorry).
