how much to fix a thrown rod?

RE: how much to fix a thrown rod?
It could also be caused by detonation as well as loss of oil pressure. When you take it apart look at the bearing. If the bearing on the piston side of the rod is gouged then it is caused by detonation. If the main bearings on the block side are gouged then it is detonation. If both sides of the bearings are ****ed the same then it is oil starvation.
