Ok here is my predicament.... I was cleaning my rims and i notice a big slit in my tire... Its about 6" long and its right above my sidewall before my tread starts... Its deep enought to fit about half a penny in it. My tire is still holding air and i drove 30+ miles today ******* it and it did just fine.... I talked to the guy at the tire shop and he said it SHOULD be fine but to keep an eye on it and that hard take offs and hard cornering should be avoided..... But ya the freak right...

So this is a question to those of you who have experienced this... I plan on driving about 200+ miles this weekend to a huge car show... Would you drive with your tire in this condition? Are tires more durable than i am giving them credit for? Just give me some advice on what to do because i am really concerned!
