you can make an auto so much faster than a stick without ever having to worry about missing a shift.

and yes you can spin in second with an auto
A stick would still be capable of beating a built auto. A stick will always have the most potential its just a stalled auto will be much more consistent. Stick has and always will be faster assuming its ideally driven.

I have an 01 gt vert auto and an 04 gt manual. When the 04 had tb/plenum, hpipe, diablo tune and flows it ran a 9.33 at the 1/8th mile track. I took all of that off and put it on the vert and it ran a 9.34. As long as you get a tuner and change up the shifts the vert runs pretty good.

The stick is more fun but the auto makes it easier to talk on the phone and eat while driving

ill race any standard guy on the board that has the same mods as me
some even with more mods...
You bastard.

If you don't live in stop and go traffic, get a manual.

Sure you can build up an auto to be faster, but how often are you at the track compared to driving daily.

IF youre normal, its 1000 miles for every 1/4 at the track.

Manuals for the DDW! *daily driving win*

AUTO ftw! You can build an auto with a few simple mods and beat manuals all day. Driving a standard is cool for about ten minutes then it gets real old when you're in stop and go traffic. And stock for stock, auto GT's will run neck and neck with the average manual driver just look at MM&FF.
