RE: daaaaaamn
While I enjoyed driving stick more i'm glad I have an auto... I use my car both for fun and for a DD....so once I get in my forged motor and boost, I wont need to worry about a missed shift andpossibly blowin upmy investment....theres positives to both arguments... Maybe I'll just hafta buy two stangs and get the best of both worlds [8D]

RE: daaaaaamn
haha thanks for the advice Colorado_Mustang but jeff gordon would blow a transmission eventually if he powershifted every time raced somebody on the street in a mustang, which have somewhat weak trannys to begin with. it was only a matter of time for me and i knew that, yes i got what i deserved, but i dont think my driving skill could have prevented a stock ford transmission from getting wrecked from powershifting.

RE: daaaaaamn
That's the exact reason why I don't powershift. Might be faster, but not worth breaking something. Plus I don't have the extra money!!!!!!Sorry to hear that dude. Hope it's not to much to get fixed. Good luck!!!!

You lost to a Firechicken.....[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
Seriously, work on your driving a little bit. No reason a little 4.6L SOHC will bust up a T-45 or 3650.

I went thru 2 T-45 with just simple boltons on the car (even with the good driver mod) and said screw it.
The rebuild will be cheaper, but save yourself money/headache down the road and just get a TKO/T-56. It will break again if you continue to powershift (no matter how good you are) as the syncs just cannot handle power/speed shifting. The TKO does not have the same problem.

Actually autos are more problematic than manuals because there are more mechanical parts such as the torque converter and means more heat (greater wear) because there isn't a direct link from the tranny to the driveshaft, like on a manual.
