Anyone that really bashes autos or says they would never drive one obviously has never been in a properly setup auto car. I don't care if your john force himself, a properly built auto car with the right amount of horsepower behind it is simply faster, more accurate, and more consistant than any human could possibly ever be.

If I could start over, I would have tried to find a car exactly like mine with a auto in it. I went thru 2 45s before I got this TKO, and even with a far superior aftermarket trans things can still go wrong.

On the other hand, stock autos suck.

If I went to the track a lot, I'd totally have an auto - it is the best setup for it. I don't go much, and really think the stick is fun.

I had a 98 gt before the one I have now. It had exhaust and gears and shattered 3 T 45s from speed shifting. I'm still running the stock 3650 in my 03 and have had 400 hp run through it for nearly two years with no problems. I have also never speed shifted this car because of the luck I had with the nearly stock weak 98. The 3650 can handle a lot but just can't handle speed shifting. If you feel that you have to speed shift then go with the TKO.

That sucks.
Some thing happened to me when I power shifted to second. But I have to hold the gear in while letting off the clutch or it will pop right out.

You lost to a Firechicken.....[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Seriously, work on your driving a little bit. No reason a little 4.6L SOHC will bust up a T-45 or 3650.
The T45 is simply the worst manual tranmisssion to ever be put in a V8 mustang. Even one missed shift/overrev and you are done, its only a matter of time before the syncros go out.

I went thru 2 T-45 with just simple boltons on the car (even with the good driver mod) and said screw it.

The rebuild will be cheaper, but save yourself money/headache down the road and just get a TKO/T-56. It will break again if you continue to powershift (no matter how good you are) as the syncs just cannot handle power/speed shifting. The TKO does not have the same problem.
