What to look for when buying a 99 gt convertible?

RE: What to look for when buying a 99 gt convertible?
Well I got it. $10K. Got some brake work done today, will need the fronts done and new tires in 10,000 miles. So far so good. Drove home in pouring rain and had to leave outside last night in the rain and still no leaks this morning.
As far as what 2002GTAUTOVERTsaid to do, it goes into D easily without a lurch. It does do a little shimmy when going from 3 to 4 on occasion but it is so light it may be how they are. There isn't any shimmy at all when it goes into OD just shifts and the RPMs drop and with pedal comes right back out like I imagine it should. So hopefully it is all good for many miles. Thanks for the help.
My next mission is to figure out this removal of the stock head unit tape/radio and get the right electronics so I can install my Alpine that has followed me from car to car. What a hassle it is starting to sound like, but hopefully Best Buy will have the adaptors and harnesses I need.

good luck man sweet car, thats exactly what i wanted but in 5 spd. its the good 4.6, best body style IMO, new enough to still be able to find parts, but old enough to have cheaper insurance.
