take someone else out there with you now, get them to press the gas pedal all the way down, then you try and move the throttle any

Dude the throttle mod does do something. It's great cause all the play is out of my gas pedal and it responds so much better.

Yeah, thats exactly what happened to me. I went to go do it, and it was done by the previous owner. Very much a possibility.
But the IAC and the Pedal mod are totally sweet, but it'll be hard to shift with the IAC if you don't have a short throw. My MGW sure helps alot!
