Get a Steeda Tri-Ax! Or any short throw shifter for that matter, makes hot rodding around town alot more fun. Be aware they are ALOT stiffer than OEM shifter, though.

why do you suggest 4.10's over 3.73's? This is a DD
My car is my daily driver as well... I went with 3.73's by what everyone used to say on these forums as it being the best for our t-45's... I can still get 23mpg with them and for the fact that 4.10's don't raise the rpms that much more, I would suggest them...

My next set of gears will be 4.30's though.. but that won't be until my rear end splits...
If you need 4.30s in a street car your just not making enough power
Unfortunately that is true... With my npi-slug... But I would still get them for my street car even if it had more power...
Yeah, and gears are cheaper than spending money on more power. Which is why I now have 4.30's.
But to the original poster, go with 4.10's at the least, a friend I had a while back had a 98 GT and he got 4.10's and it was a lot better than the 3.73's I had in my 96 GT.

i dont see how having 4.30's on a street means anything about lack of power... gears are about getting into the highest hp rpm range the fastest.im F/I and still running 4.10's
