Default Drag wheels and tires VS Suspension

I have searched and read many of the pros and cons of both drags radials and suspension modifications concerning my Mustang. I have an 03GT with after market exhaust, K&N, and 3:73's and my question is this;?should I get 15X12 rear tires for better traction or should I get shocks and springs? Handling Vs. Traction? The biggest determiner is will the 15X12's give me enough traction that I can actually launch (considering the weather is nice enough, and I am not talking about a 5k rpm laucnch, more like 1k to 1200) with out spinning the tires so I could really get to enjoy the 3:73’s? If the answer is no, then the drag tires become mostly cosmetic (unless I am other wise told which is why I am posting this) where as the springs and shock will deliver me some performance as well as cosmetic benefits. Can someone provide with some guidance on the best way to spend put more money into my Mustang. I am planning to do more to the car in the future and whatever option I decide, I will do the other eventually. My concern is enjoying this summer at the track, although for me racing is fun enough I am not very worried about dropping my ¼ time .1 second or anything. I am simply doing this for more fun. All advice is welcome.

Shocks, struts, springs and upper/lower CA's. 15x12 are a little wide. I run 15x10's with 6.5" backspacing and they hook great.

Well you are talking about handling and talking about drag racing. Which one do you want? If you lower it your 60' times might be affected adversely whereas if you put a drag suspension on there, you can launch alot harder and hook alot better. The rims and tires would gear you more towards the drag racing aspect. It all depends on what you want to with the car.

If you are gonna souly cruise around town and whomp on it a little in between, then do the shocks and springs.

When I am referencing the suspension, or the tires, I am not reffering to track performance, so much as just having fun time and again.

With your mods a nitto D/R on your stock rim should be more than enough traction to do what you want. On a bone stock suspension before the blower my car would hook pretty hard from a 1200-2000 RPM launch.

Get some nittos, and if that isn't enough get the springs/shocks/control arms. With these three things and 315 nittos I am able to launch at 2000 RPM no problem with zero tire spin all the way thru first gear.. and 420 WHP.

I can only imagine that a bolton only car could launch at fairly high RPM with that setup, alot more than the 1200-2000 RPM you are wanting.
