Hood wont open

Hood wont open i cant pull the release at all, i tried having my dad yank on it while i pulled up on the hood but it didnt work. Any suggestions?

If you can't pull the hood release, get some penetrating lube and spray it down the cable. Then give it quick hard pulls while someone lightly hangs on the hood. It'll open.
