Default Motor/Tranny mounts

I'm considering replacing my mounts. So people have told me that the solid motor mounts will rattle very badly, but arent the stock tranny mounts solid? So what is the benifit of replacing both with Performance Polyurethane mounts?
thanks jimbo

Default RE: Motor/Tranny mounts

The stock motor mounts are rubber. When they say rattle they mean you will feel every piston fire because there is no cushion between the engine and the frame. The polys will work well.
