+1, I'm having a real hard time deciding if I want lm1's or 2's. Are the l's that much louder than the 2's? Sorry, not trying to hijack.

Many sound clips are at http://www.mustangexhaust.com/forums/index.php

I have an Magna Flow Cat Back. They sound great IMO.

I got a pair of flows for $110...had them welded in for $60.That's $170. Who's paying $300 for the same thing? Dayuum! They are just as loud to me as a 2 1/2" catback (flowmaster). Especially with O/R X pipe.

LMII's sound better than the LMI's IMO. LMII's are very deep, throaty and have alot more tone than the Is.

you guys are forgetting the Stainless steel that the slp's come in... I bought mine for 400 shipped and installed it myself.

Tell your dad this, if you were to weld in the mufflers you run the risk of it rusting at the welds, plus you'll still have the crappy tips and they'll have to bend the mufflers in and out quite a bit or have them fab up a 2.25 to 2.5" pipe. Which means more $... with the SLP full catback it's all modular and bolted in. It took me about 2 hours going slowly and working on it myself to install it. That was back when I new absolutely nothing about mods.

Thats bullshi*! It will COMPLETELY change the sound! If you found weld ins they would sound ALMOST the exact same! But... I would recomend getting the full cat back so that you can get the new piping all the way back and those sexy tips!

I wish that i got the actual cat back.... I got weld in flows and it cost me $300 installed (which is high anyways) where i could have gotten a full catback for almost the same .

I would just get the full catback.. Search around and i bet you can find it for a pretty decent price.
There is a massive difference between a weld in and a full catback sound wise (not power wise, neither will make much difference). The size of the pipe makes a BIG difference in sound.

Really? I have not compared it in person but what i have been told is that the whole catback is just smoother sounding and a little quieter.... Just something i heard though!

Well the idea to get the full cat back system for $400 crashed and burned. I did however talk my dad out of the flowmasters hes been pushing on me. He told me i can order the SLP lm II's by the end of the week and they shood be welded in by the end of next week. I talked to the guy who's going to do it and he's confident it will sound good. He did my other mustang with flows and it sounded great so i guess im just gonna have to trust him and hope that it sounds good. I have no other choice. Thanks guys i was going to ask about the difference between lm1's and lmII's but from reading your guys responses im sticking with my original decision to go with the lmII's
