Default Idle problems

Well I just got my car back and everything is done. If you don't know Itook my heads off to get reconditioned and put them back on. I also had the car taken to get LTs installed.I custom fabbed a pipe from the header to the H pipe using the old parts of the H and some flanges I had an exhaust shop make me for 20 bucks. Anyway, the passanger side flang isn't on all the way so there is a small exhaust leak til tomorrow when I take it to get it fabbed right. Also the O2 extender popped off the passanger side throwing the code P1151. My car's idle is very ruff and it hangs at about 2500-3000 for a goodamount of time whilethe car is is nuetral and even when the clutch is down. It has no power to it at all and studders when I give it gas. It had a 1/4 tank of gas that has been sitting it in for 2 and a half months so I filled the tank up with fresh 93 today also.

My question is, are those three things (exhaust leak, O2 sensor, and21/2 month old gas)the reason why the motor runs like poop or could it be something else? It also was hieli-coiled last week and gives off a bad smell from it. My friend said that he had that smell when he got his hieli-coiled.

Umm, were the heads ported and polished? Worked heads+LT's= New tune. For sure.

Exhaust leak and O2 sensor could definately be the culprit, but dont expect it to run like a top if you got your heads worked, and no tune to support it.

No I just had all the seals in the heads replaced, the head cleaned out, and the valves re-conditioned. There was no porting involved. Could I have burned my valve seals up from running it open headers for a good 30 miles?

Shouldnt be a problem with a short open LT cruise. I'll bet that it straightens up after the leak is fixed, and the O2 is back in order.

Yeah I hope so. This ****ty studdering problem is why I took my heads off to get reconditioned in the first place. Well I will know tomorrow. I hope its not a piston ring problem or something. If it is I'd have to start selling crack and buy a forged bottom end.

If the problem isn't fixed I will let you know tomorrow. Btw it was fine fora little bit when I cruised with my friends tonight then it got ****ty, then the CEL came on. So maybe it is just the leak and the O2.

Yeah I do. I was thinking cause the gas was sitting in there so long that the tune might be fugged up because of the old gas. I am gonna try taking the tune off to see how it runs.
