High. I tried to sell mine last fall for $16,500 (when it was 100% stock with 18k miles) and had no takers.

Car is only worth what someone is willing to give for it. Some people dream big.

I tried for a good three or four months. I was going to sell it and buy a terminator. If someone had bought it, I'd have a black 03 cobra coupe right now instead. [:@]I started at 17,900 and worked my way down to 16,500 before I decided I couldn'tstill get the cobra any lower than that.

That's just my experience though. Even at 16,500 I had people lowballing me at 12-13k... bunch of retards, at the time, what I was offering to sell it for was just aboug $2000 under blue book.

Default RE: Quick Question

I bought my '03 GT with 30k on it last December, the Premium package with the interior "dress up" option, for $12k. $18k is what a dealer wouldwant to get for an '04 (they'd advertise it for more); in a private sale $14.5k to $15k would be a fair deal. There's also the factor that selling $10k+ cars privately is not an easy thing to do, banks don't like to finance them, and buyers with that much cash are a rare commodity. That's why I got mine for $12k, the seller was floating two cars loans, just bought a house, and the wife was "showing"--that's what heowed on it and I had cash.
