I know what alot of the LS1 guys say, but I have seen some run in real life and on streetfire, and they run low 13's and I have seen a few in the 12's.

Its pretty easy to bull**** though... I was telling everyone I was stock with 3.73s and a few other mods that were easy to hide.

My friend isn't the greatest driver in the world, but its an auto... literally no chance to screw up. The car didn't spin off the line (2.73s ftw) so all he had to do is mash it to the floor and keep it there. It ran slightly better and better times all night till the 13.60s... this was probably more like 50 degrees than 60, so just about the best conditions possible before traction went away. No matter who was behind the wheel, it was simply not going to go any faster.

Simply put, its bull. one in a thousand, with a 6 speed and the 3.45 gearset and john force behind the wheel might pull a 12.99... but to say that every one will be even close is incorrect.

The average driver with the average ls1 will run low to mid 13s in the 1/4, which is easily in reach of a boltons only PI car.

I never said it wasnt in reach, I was just saying that there are so many variables to actually know who would win. I said some run 13.5 and some run 12.8, you never know who might be behind the wheel and you never know who has a couple bolt ons and either an auto or manual. I am completely aware that a bolt on 2v can run with an LS1, but the odds of finding a stock one these days is also hard to do. But I do understand what your saying.

Simply put, 99.9999999 percent of the time they don't run 12s bone stock or anywhere close to it. Most of them are mid 13 second cars, plain and simple.

Its easy to make em fast, but once you start talking mods all bets are off the table. I dunno about your area, but there are plenty of stock/very close to stock LS1s around here... thats why I had so much fun beating on them with my bolton 2v

People who say you need FI/nitrous to beat a stock LS1 are simply incorrect. As you can see in the vid I posted on this thread, from a stop it wasn't even close.

Hell, about 2-3 months before this video I ran into a 6 speed 3.45 geared car with a decent driver... and put boatlenghts on him from a stop, and this was beforemy cams (30+ whp atredline) 3.73s + nittos ftw.

I dont know, from what I've seen they are low 13 second cars stock, I have yet to see a 6spd properly driven run any slower than a 13.4, and that was like once or twice. The Mach 1's run 13.3-13.5 stock and everyone says their about a drivers race with an LS1, but to give the LS1 the edge, meaning a .1-.2 advantage. I know there have been stock 3v's to hit 13.3-13.4, but the avg is around 13.6-13.7. There are so many guys with gears, intake, t/b & plenum, catback & midpipe with tune and DR's struggling to hit 13.5's. If your gonna say its rare to see an LS1 run 12.9-13.1, than you can say its rare for a full bolt on 2v, not including cams or heads to beat an LS1.

mines was auto, 13.18@ 108.xx to be precise, 60 ft 2.0x, launching at 1500 rpm, over that i star spining, to get to 12's they need a little more than exhaust and k&n and tune. but in the streets, it was a top end crazy car
