Default Wearing Shifter In

I installed my MGW today and I love it so far. It is very close compared to stock. When I am in gear I have to double check to make sure because I think that I am going to grind it because it is so close.

It seems to be pretty notchy and the only shift that actually bothers me is the 2-3 shift. It seems like 3rd is really notchy. Will the shifter wear in and get less notchy over time?

It will loosen up over time. Weird about the 2-3 giving you trouble, I find that shift extremely smooth and easy. The 1-2 is the one that isn't always smooth for me. 4-5 is pretty rough, however I've learned that if you swivel the handle more towards a 8 to 9 O clock position it's alot easiser to get it into gear because there is more "side to side" leverage.

give it a week, you'll be used to it and it'll be more broken in and you wont even notice it anymore.
