Where is the silencer located and how do I take off?

Should I just keep it....I guess it's there for a reason right?

It is a cone shaped rubber piece located inside the fenderwell and connected to the airbox. Just grab the thing and pull it out, but first check it for bolts or screws holding it in. The only reason it is there is because of the noise without it, it makes a little bit louder whistling noise, but just yank that thing out, its just restricting your air flow

LOL... very true! to silence the air! so the average shmuck doesnt get upset his Stang is 2 loud! Remove that POS and save you the money everyone else spends on a CAI!
