i have a 96 gt is that a romeo engine i heard before like 99 and after 2001 are romeos the others are windsor

No it is a Windsor motor, unless it has been swapped out. The 2001 and up 4.6s are Romeos.

Look in the valley right behind the alternator. There will either be a R or a W stamped in the block. You can also count your valve cover bolts 11 bolt means romeo and 13 bolt means windsor.

Just the main caps. The romeo blocks have jack screws in the side of the main caps and the windsor blocks have dowels.
