Yep you're fine. Should just be a tiny bit of fluid in there. Oh don't forget to put the black cup on your new shifter! I had to do that for the MGW, I'm sure it's the same way for the Tri-Axe though.

Yes it's the same with a Tri-Ax. Take the black cap from the bottom of the stock shifter shaft, and place it on the Tri-Ax. I forgot to do this when I installed mine, and it felt all loose and sloppy( I would provide an analogy but I don't want to get banned) After I put the black cap on, it was ok.

I have not used the other shifters except stock and MGW and I can tell you the difference was NIGHT AND DAY. Completely different feel, throws, everything. You will have a huge smile on your face the first time you take the car for a spin after installing an MGW. Waiting on my composite race **** to come in on Thursday to make my shifter complete.

ANYTHING is better than the stock piece of crap shifter. A toilet plunger would be better.
MGW and Steeda Tri-Ax are almost the same.

That's where I got my shifter from, MGW directly. Also I got the inner dust boot cover (really quieted things down., my shifter is as quiet as stock!). And I picked up their composite race ****. Customer service and quality are top notch., George is a real pleasure to do business with.
