Default Turn-downs or Tips...’96

Delta Flow mufflers are designed to reduce interior resonance...and yeah because of that, they are slightly quieter than non-Delta's. You can't have the best of both worlds.

As far as turn-downs, you should be ok as for inspection, if you have to smog, as long as the tails turn down BEHIND the rear axle, near the edge of the rear bumper. If the turn-downs are located in front of the rear axle, it's not smog-legal. Turn-down's are great for the thundering power effect everybody around you is going to feel as well as hear, because the exhaust pulses resonate off the ground and create vibrations. If you want a loud, bassy, earth-rumbling exhaust, turn-downs are the way to go. Believe me, if you have turn-downs, you probably won't want to go any louder...and you may have to ditch your stereo, unless you want to crank it up all the way to be able to hear it.
