Default Quick question before midpipe install

Hey guys,

Alright so I desided I need to stop being paranoid about snapping that nut and just put my damn midpipe on.

One thing is I'm a student and I don't have enough money at the moment for some MIL Eliminators so I'm just going to deal with the check engine light comming on.

My question is,

Will my CEL turn off if I buy the MIL Eliminators later and install them and let my car run the cycles or wha?

It should. Make sure you buy the steeda ones as they are the best out there. You can also just unplug your battery for a little while to reset to computer and it will also go away.

honestly you can make your own MIL elims for pretty cheap at radio shack. It's not a very complicated circuit to build and it saves lots of money. On the other hand - if you're willing to spend money on the MIL elims you should just wait and save a little more and get a handheld tuner. Works much better to just turn off the sensors. I have the links bookmarked on my other pc which I don't have access to until Tuesday but if you search our forum section for "MIL" there is at least two threads that I've posted two good links in for homemade MIL eliminators. You should try to find them.

Double post I know but I realized I said save "a little" more for a tuner. It's a lot more BUT you won't have to deal with your elims deciding to stop working all of a sudden which is fairly common.

try a long pipe on the end of your ratchet to give you more torque on the nuts without having to use all your strength and risk snapping a bolt
