Default 02 sensor replace or tuner...

i have a bad o2 sensor and not sure which one it is.. i relized it would be around $120ish or high to get this prob fixed.. so i have been informing the parental units about the investment of a tuner... i can get a diblo tuner for $350... any thoughts on how to convince them some more? oh and i have to get my car checked for inspection and i kno it will fail like me at school.. so this will have to be fixed within about a month...

Thanks all!

Do you keep getting a check engine light for it? If so get it read somewhere, then come back here so we can tellyou which one it is. I just had to replace one on my car and it costs 45 bucks for the sensor and I put it on myself.

You need to determine which sensor has failed. If it's one of the front ones then it needs to be replaced or the engine will run rich as heck, get lousy fuel economy, and ruin your catalytic converter(s). If it's a rear sensor then a tuner will let you turn off the rear sensors and depending on the nature of the inspections where you live you may pass. What makes you believe you have a failed O2 sensor? If its a SES light then get the code read and figure out which one is bad...
