I bought may car about 2 months ago and there was some stuff already done like exhaust, cai, and a short throw shifter... my question is what is the stock rev limit and governer set to because i have went 125 and reved it to 6000 and i think maybe its been tuned is there anyway to tell

To tell you the truth I don't see any reason why someone would tune a car with your mods(no offense). It would just kinda be a waste of time. Plus if they did they would more then likely have used a flash hand held tuner. Oh and the rev limiter has to be higher then 6k rpms because that's what I shifted at before I got my car tuned and I never hit a limiter.

i was just curious because i had a v6 before this one and the rev limiter was lower and the speed cut off at 115, but i figured as much on the tune

as far as i know new edge GT's dont have governors

its a v8 so i think ford either took off the limiter or set it higher. i have gotten mine up to 135 with no probs on the highway but my rev limiter kicked in at about seven when i didn't pay attention to where my rmps were for that split second

IF your car was tuned anyways it would have came with the tuner because when it is tuned it can only be used on that car until that car has been reset to factory settings
