get 01.5 and up because of the hood scoop and the headlights.

mid '01s and up and the T3650 trans and not the T45. The '01 and up motor is a Romeo motor (made in Romeo, Michigan and not Windsor, Michigan like the Windsor motors) which has different bolt patterns in the valve cover, different water pump pullies, different cam caps, and a few other stuff.

99/00 had different radios,spoliers,hood scoops, headlights.......better colors for 01 and up[8D]

yeah but why spend the money on those items if you can buy a mustang that already has it =P all this stuff you can "buy later"

It honestly doesn't matter, just find a clean example..Don't get hung up on the tranny's because they both suck...

Thanks for all the feed back, the timeline here on MF is really helpful. Also it kinda seems like the closer to 04 the better the stang (who woulda guessed lol). Is the new edge GT really hard to get into higher HP numbers? If so, that kinda sucks cuz I don't have the money for a Cobra or a Mach 1.
