Default Swap from V6 to V8

I am thinking of moving up and replacing my stock 3.8 v6 in my 98 stang to a 4.6 from either a 98 or the better 99+ years 4.6 engine. If I could get an engine, trans(both Manual), wire harness and ECU. Is it a simple bolt on? Anyone know what kind of problems I might come accross?

O man don't even waste your time. I wanted to do the same thing in my 95 mustang. Wanted to do a swap and everyone told me i was a moron. They said you need pretty much a whole donor car. The break lines, gauges, computer, wiring harness. I just finally gave up and bought a 03 GT. it will be cheaper in the long run. I don't know how much you know about cars, but if you can install yourself, then great. If not its gonna cost you a arm and leg to do the swap

You can and if I told you what exactly you'd need I'd just be guessing. You can probably sell your car and buy a GT within 2k of what you can get for your car.

I'd say sell it unless you're going to make a huge build out of it. 500+ Hp, then the v6 shell would be perfect.
