Default poluyurthane tranny mount

anybody have an auto w/ a shift kit and one of these mounts? sometimes my shifts hit so hard in the tq power band that the stock mount gives away too much, plus stock ones in general have so much play in em. did you notice any improvements on how it handles the harder shifts?

If your tranny is slamming that hard I'd be more concerned with how long it is going to hold together before it explodes.
Are you sure your mount (the rubber part) is in good shape?

ya the mount is in good shape still bonded no cracks. and im not concerned about the tranny lasting, its in perfect mechanical condition, next door neighboor who is certified and has been working on cars for 20 yrs built it up for me, its meant to shift hard. Problem is around 2,500-3,400 rpms it shifts with so much tq you can feel the slop in the mount as it shifts. idk if youve ever had a mount out and moved it side by side with your hands, doesnt take much, now imagine 300 lbs of tq...i already broke a mount, and it wasnt the rubber that broke. If i try to replicate how fast the tranny shifts by hand on the mount, replicating the force and speed, which i cant, i definitly make metal touch metal, the rubber has that much play in it. stock these trannies shift like a limp dick so i can see why they work well with that setup.

yea just grab a set of poly mounts. I've seen a set for about 150 and it also comes with a tranny mount.
