working on a friends 1998 gt we are doing a brake job and we cant get the rear brake calipers to compress to put the new pads in. how do you do it? i've been tring to do it w/ a c clamp

Disc Brakes?? If so...
You need a special tool...run down to Advance and rent one for free.
Ran into the same problem when I tried my own rear brake job on my 95 SHO

The pistons turn in. They don't compress.

edit: didnt realize he wasn't turning the pistons in, nevermind.
