Default Quick Cam question

OK, say I wanted to put a KB blower on my car (02 5 speed) in the future. But before that I wanted Patriot stage 2 heads. What should I do about cams? I know blower cams aren't good for non blown cars, but are NA cams OK with a blower? I need it to still be practical to drive on the street, but still rip up the 1/4 mile strip. Should I just keep the stock cams on the patriot stage 2 heads and wait till the blower to do blower cams?

I bought some cams from crane and they are 264 intake 270 exhaust . they worked fine when I was n/a . and they'll be fine when you get a blower .

The N/a cams are alright up to a point. However, if your trying to make big power with a forged shortblock and ported heads etc they have too much overlap and will kill boost.

if your going this route, get the blower first and then upgrade the shortblock, THEN upgrade the heads/cams. The blower + boltons (if intercooled) can make more power than the stock shortblock can handle, you will need to upgrade it before the heads/cams will do anything for you.
