Default RE: Exhaust leak repair?

Just put BBK catted pipe on and had same problem . There's a shoulder on manifold bolts on drivers side that keep the larger than stock(2.5") pipefrom seating all the way. BBK's website addresses this on the FAQ section. They say take out bolts and replace with sholderless bolts. PITA!!! Instead, since would'nt come out, muffler shop used a reducer to back it off a little and cut a littlt notch in pipe where it hits the shoulder on the manifold bolt. NO LEAK KNOW!

Better late than never. It helps to hav picts. Im guessing its a 2 bolt flange coming off the exhaust manifold. I had constant leaks in my non-ford truck. Flange was the problem. I couldnt find an aftermarket fix besides cutting, replacing flange or flair pipe and welding. I created a C Flange Bracket. This is not spam. It seems we in this country have lost or inventive spirit. A new idea comes along and its met with dissent, unabashed criticism or just no encouragement. This is a real fix.

The videos explain how it works and how its installed of an existing flange.

The truck I installed the C Flange Bracket.

Plain Jane explanation of the product.
