Default Technical gear question

This isn't another should i get 3.73's or 4.10's. I'mleaning towards 4.10's, just wondering if I should also get the instal kit. I have 72k on my 99, so im figuring to be on the safe side it's a good idea...any other opinions? I'm also opting for a speed cal instead of a tuner right now, so any info on where to get them for the best price would be great. thanks

Yea Id say go with the install kit it willsave you alot of money from having someoneto have to tear your rear end apart again.

I agree, if you're already in there, go ahead and change the bearings and races and all that stuff. When I did my gears, I went ahead and replaced it all and I was at 50k miles.

I was wondering the same thing. I only have 22000 miles on mine. Are the bearings generally damaged when they are removed?

It's 36 for the install kit, and 76 for the bearing kit at american muscle, so $40 dif.

I guess $40 isn't really that much to spend for no worries. I'm gonna go with the full kit.

The carrier bearings get destroyed when they pull them off, but you don't have to worry about that if you are re-using bearings and not replacing your carrier. The pinion bearing was fine when it was pulled off though.
