tranny rebuild

RE: tranny rebuild
The transmission is not like a rear-end or something where you just buy all new parts and slap 'em in--you need to disassemble it first, figure out what components are worn beyond their service limits (or your criteria as you see fit), and replace same. Frankly, and I have rebuilt transmission in the past, unless I was on a tight budget I'd buy a rebuilt tranny from a reputable source. They have all the parts on hand to replace whatever is worn, and the experience of repetitive rebuilds to know what works and what doesn't.

RE: tranny rebuild
yea, although i would give it a shot myself if i knew what it was, bringing it somewhere a better idea, seeing that its a bitch to take it all out and put it back in to find out you screwed up something
