stage 2 cams

RE: stage 2 cams
If your gonna do Stage 2 cams, your gonna want to get gears. The reason is that the power level starts at about 3000rpm, so off the line it will kind of be a dog, so a higher gear will get up in the revs faster and pull quicker. I have stage 2s and at first I had stock gears, and it almost felt like I was starting off in second gear. After the 4.10s it was back to normal, so Id think about gears and I would do a stage 2, cause you can always go back later ang p&p your heads and build the bottom end, and that way youll already have the cams, whereas if you do a stage 1 cam now and then later build the bottom and or get heads, your gonna wanna upgrade from a stage1 to a stage2, and we all know that cams arent cheap...just a thought

RE: stage 2 cams
Dont get stage 2 cams unless you have ported or aftermarket heads. Thats what they're made for. Your car wont run right. Stick with stage 1's if you dont want to dish out the $$$ for heads.
