Default I can't figure it out??????????

I put new a set of 3:73's on my 03 GT after a few days i noticed my pinion seal was leaking so today i took it back to the shop and put a new one in now tonite i got out for cruise nite and i notice it still dripping not as bad but still leaking a little. Any Ideas?? Thanks

Bring it back again, sounds like theymessed up the new seal when installing it...

The seal can be damaged during installation in any number of ways--by deforming or nicking the seal lip, crushing the seal's frame, failing to lubricate it before installation so it "burns" out in the first 200 revolutions. There may have been dirt or other crap in the bore.[/align][/align]It is also possible to nick the pinion shaft when removing to old seal--I doubt they torn the rear-end down when you brought it back--they probably used a pick or seal tool or screwdriver to pry out the old seal, shaft damage is common when doing this.[/align][/align]The bottom line is that it is obviously damaged or it wouldn't be leaking...[/align]

no they didn't break down the rear end again the guy just removed the drive shaft, removed the pinion nut and yok and removed the seal with a screwdriver and inseted the one then put everything back together

How did they make sure not to overtighten when putting it back together, so as not to screw up the pinion preload?
