Park your car on a piece of cardboard and let it run for a while, when you move it,look for exhaust on the ground. If it's there, you have an exhaust leak.

Seriously though, make sure the exhaust manifold to h-pipe flanges are tight, alot of people don't get enough torque on the last P/S nut on the stud, because it's at an awkward angle. just make sure all your stuff is bolted up good, and when you tighten then, alternate back and forth so they set evenly.

what if the leak is on the top side of the pipe? i think you should also re-check the driver side manifold connection. some brands don't always seal properly because of the shoulders on the stock manifold studs, if this is the problem you'll have to replace them

if you can get under it, you should be able to see some black soot under your car where the leak is located.

if it sounds like someone threw a BB into your exhaust, or if it sounds like a spray paint can when you shake it, it's most likely a leak.
