H=Muscle car sound
X= nascar sound

any aftermarket midpipe will probably cut down the rasp a little bit, but ive never knowingly heard the SLP and are they LM1 or LM2.

i had a bassani x pipe, sounded more 'high tech' or nascar or whatever, but i just put the stock h pipe back on, and it sounds more mean but way quieter, but i did gain back more useable power with the h pipe, torque feels way stronger, the x pipe may work out more horsepower and better in a quarter mile pass or in the 5k range but the for every day driving, sorry folks keep the h pipe save the money , the h pipe just drives better....
