Well..i picked up a Diablo Predator from one of my buddies..who got it from one of his buddies, who's buddie's friend's cousin's sister's grandma's brother's friend's uncle purchased. I got it for free,so i can't really complain..but the problem is,it's still married to the original vehicle (stock tune wasn't put back on the car). So,does anyone know how i can get this thing reset? Diablosport is no help,i've called them 3 times and they tell me i'm S.O.L.. anyone got any ideas? i wish i could put this to some use besides it just being a very expensive code reader/data logger.
You can't do a thing. If everyone could use the same one then they would be out of business.
That is true, however they don't have to be such dicks about it. They could offer to reset it for $100-$150 which would at least make a used one worth something--I readthe tale of a fellow who wrecked his car and obviously couldn't restore the OEM tune, he bought another Mustang and they told him the same story "Sorry, SoL".3rd party hand-me-downs are one thing, but this guy was they original purchaser.SCT has much better policies in this regard... (edited, Freudian typo...)
Your only option would be to see if you can track down the person who first bought it, see if they still have the car, then restore the factory tune to it.
