tob?

RE: tob?
You have to drop the tranny. It rides inside of the fork and slides on the input shaft of the tranny. It pushes the pressure plate which pushes the clutch disk against the flywheel which makes your car go. You can do it yourself but it is a bit of a pain in the ***. If it is just chirping I wouldn't worry about it to much. I just put a brand new one on that came with my spec clutch and it is chirping already in under 2000 miles. I'm not changing mine out till I get back from Iraq and pull the motor again.

Its not that Bad, mine is GOING CRAZY!!! Im about to change it in a Week or 2. Dropping the Tranny isnt Bad, I have LT"s(long tube headers) and still dont mind doing it. The part ranges from 40-60Dollars... From what i have seen. I dont know about the Ram bearing ill try that next.

RE: tob?
What do you mean "if it's just chirping"? What will it do when it's REALLY bad? I've got one that's squeeling occasionally when I'm just touching the clutch.. It can get bad, but it's still intermittent.
As it gets worse, am I potentially going to get stranded by this in the long-term?
What's a "Firewall Adjuster" and "Quadrant" as it relates to the TOB? I understand the retainer, but not the other parts listed...
My intention is to wait 'till Convertible weather is over, then do it off season, replace the TOB, retainer, clutch, and whatever else is in the way.. (That's why I'm asking what those other parts are)
Thanks!
