Hello all,
I have a 99GT wit an idle problem. The cause is the program I have for my chip. When I run the stock program the car idles correct and the car runs great, but the odometer is off by 5mph. The high performance programs makes the car run at 5-600rpms and the car will cut off when I come to a stop.

I have the following modifications:
373 gears
18" wheels with 555 Nitto tires
Mac high flow catted H-pipe
Flowmaster 40series cat-back
75mm throttle body with intack plen.......
K&N airfilter
and of course the super chip.
Im looking for a better program without spending a boatload of money on a dyno run.
Any sugestions would be appreciated.
Does anybody have the same set-up with a program they could send?

did the tune screw with your timeing at all on the idle?

Yes, im pretty sure the timing has been altered with the perfermance tune.
With the performance tune, the car would only idle at 5-600rpms and when you stopped at a light or stop sign. It would sometimes cut off.... there is no noticable difference in power over the stock settings.
I can only run 93 octane fuel with the performance tune and even then I would hear just a tiny bit of pinging at hard acceleration in the higher rpms.
fuel economy on the interstate at best was 21.1mpg, and the normal around town is 18mpg.

With the stock tune i am getting 20mpg normal around town driving on cheap gas with no pinging anywhere, no idle problems. but this doesnt include the odometer being off.
