Default emissions help

I live in Connecticut and have an offroad x pipe with mils installed. do i need to put back on my x pipe for emissions because i was told they use the mirror on a stick under your car to check for cats. let me know ways around it. i was told i can take it to this one Shell Gas Station for emissions testing and he is leinient there. let me know thanks guys

First of all you have an h-pipe as your stocker. Second, you will not pass the visual inspection but you will pass the computer inspection since you have the MIL's. The best idea would be to go to a place like you were talking about and let them know before they do the check. Sometimes a little greasing is all it takes to pass that part of an emissions test. Another way to go is put your stock pipe for the day/week and then change after the inspection.
