Default 99 vs. 00 spring edition

Can anyone tell me if a 99 motor is EXACTLY the same as my late 00 spring edition motor??? since spring editions were made in late 00 I want to make sure that it still follows the 99-00 flywheel to crank bolt pattern cuz i know its different 01-04. Thanks
