I was thinking about stroking my motor to a 302 (5.0) Has any one taking apart a mod motor? How hard is setting up the timing on the over head cams. What other demons am i looking at when pulling the motor and taking it apart.

As far as taking it apart and putting it back together, shouldnt be any harder than a normal push rod motor. May even be a little easier. I dont know from personal expirence, yet. I do know that on the 4.6, the max you can go is .020 over due to the spacing of the cylinders. Mod max has some really good kits with forged parts. I think they are a little expensive but you gotta pay to play. Also, if you are planning on putting a power adder on, watch the compression ratio. Hoped this helped
