Default Port and polish or buy new?

I got a tb and i want to get a plenum. Would it be smarter and cheaper to just port and polish the stock or should i get a new one. Would the gains be as big with the P&P as the new?

I would say go ahead and buy the C&L and 70-75mm TB and you will get the most. Im investing in the C&L myself. Besides... do you have a dremil (sp) that you can P&P with? If not, you have to factor in another $80 just for that.

it would be worth your while to do it yourself, thats what i did, it feels like it worked, esp in 4th gear (although it may be mental) and you could also match it perfectly to your TB

untill you fu*k it up and have to buy a new one anyways. LOL I say P&P also if you know what you're doing and are proficient at it. If not, then dont waste your time.

deff side with jd... its not that hard to f*ck up if you have no practice.... go to a junkyard and get a set of aluminum heads or something, at least that will give you an idea of how fast the material goes byebye.... thats what i started practicing on.... after you practice a few sets you get the hang of it and what bits will do what to aluminum, and how to get a mirror polish using which bits....

Machine shop maybe... just ask them to smooth out the casting flaws and the steps and polish her up nice.... good luck tho prolly spend more than the 150 for the C&L if you had it professionally done
