Default noise at low speed turn

I have a 00 gt and everytime I make a turn at really slow speed (pull into the driveway) i would hear a click or cling sound. It sounds like something is hitting the spring. any idea guys?

Repetitive or a single noise--if the former than I'd obviously suspect something hitting on something else--take the wheel off and see if you can spot any contact areas (shiny spots, or places where the road dirt is disturbed). If it's a single noise then it sounds like some suspension component shifting in it mount--can you make it make the noise by rocking the steering wheel with the car stopped?

it's a single noise. you know how the sound of a spring pops? that's what it sounds like. this noise only occurs when i go over a bump while the wheel is turning to the right. if i go overa bump on a straight away i don't hear anything. i hear it everytime i pull into my drive way. and when i stop and turn the steering, i hear a sqeeking (not sure the spelling) noise.

Ashifting spring usually has a "springy" sort of tone, though not always...What you are describing could also be the steering rack shifting in it's mounts. This is easy to check, have someone rock the steering wheel from sisde-to-side firmly (engine off) while you peeak up under the front bumper. If it's the steering gear then there's a TSB (05-14-3) that describes the problem and a fix.You can also fix it yourself, here's a write-up I did...
