battery light

well it stopped for a couple of weeks

but now sometimes it will come on for like 30 seconds every 20 minutes or so

wtf?

and now my phone charger doesn't work

the one that plugs into the cigarette lighter

the little light comes on on the charger but the phone doesn't take the charge
wtf is up with this?

i remember on a ton of mustang carfax's there was always "electrical system serviced" for the new edges i looked at

i guess im about to be one and this is a common mustang problem

what is is guys?
help plz

The internal voltage regulator in the alternator may be intermittedly going bad. You said the light goes on every 20 minuets or so. I doubt the guy at Autozone ran it on his bench tester for 20 minutes. Just a thought.

Edit: If you could put a voltage meter on the bat. when the light came on, that would help out.

I had the same issue for a while. I sent it back to PA Performance. They checked it, sent it back w/ NPF. I put it back on, was fine for quite some time then it started doing it again. I called them, sent it back again, they o/h'd it. No more problems. I can bet your alt is on the way out. Something is happening internally that is intermittent causing the problem.
