Fuel gauge problem
has anyone else experienced the following problem:
my gas gauge was basically on E, the gas light wasnt on but it was low. so i filled up with 10 galloons of 91 octane (all they have out here in vegas). i get back into my car and my gas gauge reads completely full. this is the stock gas gauge, and i know i have a 16 galloon tank and theres no way i had more than 1 or 2 galloons left in the tank. what causes this and should i be expecting the little float in the tank (if i have one) to go pretty soon

RE: Fuel gauge problem
It's pretty common. Car manufactures do this so the brilliant American consumer doesn't try to stretch the very last mile out of the car and burn up the electronic fuel pump. My GTP starts beeping and flashing crap all over the place when I've used 13.5-14.0 gallons with an 18 gallon tank.
