I did it and it works fine. Im not sure if its to good to be going fast and just let of I did and my rpms went really high. I was going about 130 and when I let off it just started poping and the rpms went really high.

seriously make the hole the size of the bolts that hold in the iac or a little bigger. it doesnt take much restriction to get those rpms to drop and you dont wanna push it and have your car running super rich during idle.

as hoss has .290 which would be a little over a quarter inch. stock is definitely around an inch. no reason to go under that quarter inch mark. pushing it towards a half an inch in diameter will yield a little slouchy rpm droppage like stock.

btw i think this mod makes your car idle similar to a cammed car, definitely a little lope to it.

Yeah I thought I ruined the car after wards it was idleing a little wierd but everything is fine now so I guess its fine.

lol i hate that feeling.... like today on my way to work i thought it was in first all the way and i let the clutch go to hear a horrible crunch sound and i feel the stick get thrown back in my hand lol...but its all good. stupid t45 haha(i blame everything on the fact that i have a t45)

Cliff, remember, nowhere in the stickie thread for this mod did it explain to remove the negative battery pole for 15-20 min. before doing the mod. My car has the same size hole, and it idled very high, and I got the SAME code. That was up until I re-did it, but this time I took off the battery terminal, and the computer reset itself, and re-learned it's idle. Try it with the batt. off, believe me, it works. I'm running at 700 rpm flat at idle with the same size hole...

[/align][/align]I know that, I am the one that introduced the resetting of the KAM into several of these threads--and got a ration of crap over it from several posters who felt it was unecessary (it is anytime you mess with the metered air side of the intake)... [/align][/align]With my '03 and 2 or 3 other '01 to '04 GTs anything smaller than 1/4" (using my method of a machined restrictor plug in the IAC supply hose) causes a lumpy, almost "cammy"idle. The plug I make is 1/2" long, throughdrilled with specified bore, and has a 1/16" 45Â° chamfer at both ends of the bore. This will have slightly different flow characteristics (less flow at higher velocities) than either the gasket or pipe-cap method.[/align]
