Default svt focus pump help

I've got the tank dropped ready to put the svt focus pump into the factory sending unit. I've heard of drilling holes in the sending unit canister thing... is there any need for this?

Why would you drill holes in it? The basket for the focus pump doesn't have holes in it, and that car requires more fuel.

Just throw the pump in and button it back up. And then run that b*tch!!

I'm well over 400 rwhp with the Focus pump and the GT basket with no mods to the basket. Fuel pump duty cycle is fine and there is no pressure drop across the injectors. Granted that's with a KB BAP and I keep the tank 1/4 full or better.

Edit: That is one hell of a sexy car you have there Quicktime.

I have heard of this, aka you need to drill the basket to keep the fuel pump happy at less than a 1/4 or 1/8th tank, but I think its BS. In any case, it will run fine at 1/4 or less, but its a REAL good idea to keep it above that anyway. The fuel helps cool the pump, no reason to get your shiny new SVT pump hot
