how come there isnt anyone on here who is actually running a Turbo?
How does the torque curve on a turbo compare to that of a centri or roots?

Aren't turbos a helluva lot harder to tune? Or is it just that far less people know how to tune turbo setups? I just hear all the time people paying an arm and a leg to get their tubo systems to run right.

I'm going with the D1SC from procahrger. I would have gone with the TT setup from HP turbo but I made the mistake of doing suspension
mods first. Turns out you need to use their tubular k member and front coil overs. I already did these mods and didn't want to redo all that stuff.
Turbos are the way to go however, if this is the setup you want to keep.

Why are you guys buying turbos from hellion?????????
you can piece together a kit for possibly thousands cheaper guys.
B&G turbos
Ponydown.
www.turbomustangs.com Its worth going to.

as for the SC vs turbo argument, turbos make more power per pound of boost. GENERALLY if it is a streetcar you can get more power out of a turbo than a SC while still running PUMP GAS.

EDIT - oh, and with a good properly sized turbo, you can achieve full boost at 2k-2.5k. Ever felt a turbo hit? its nothing short of awesome.

personally i would chose the super charger, i mean we got a muscle car for a reason, if i wanted turbo i woulda invested in a sti or evo
amen

even thow turbos aremore efficent(does not take any power to spin them)

i would rather have the k.b whine[sm=gears.gif]or procharger f1a sound

+1 for 2000gt4.6 Turbos are more effeciant. Any car with the same numbers running a s/c vs. the same thing running a turbo the turbo motor is quicker. I would catch it by 3rd gear i see it all to often.

Turbo's are really popular her in NM, especially Hellion because it's a local company so no waiting list for locals, and smoking prices. Besides turbo cars aren't effected as much by the altitude.
